Scott Bowering

Scott Bowering is a Vancouver-based visual artist, musician and educator who has exhibited work in Canada and internationally. He has taught as Sessional Faculty at Emily Carr University and Simon Fraser University’s School for the Contemporary Arts and Faculty of Education since 2005, and has authored and co-authored peer-review articles on the relationship between Buddhist philosophy and practice, sociomaterial and gestalt theory, psychology, and scientific philosophy. He is a PhD candidate in Educational Theory and Practice at Simon Fraser University, with a research focus on the intersection of contemplative inquiry and philosophy of science in material practice. He is currently working on a duo-ethnographic study focusing on post-digital arts-informed practices.
